eBay Tracking Popup Autofill (Chrome extension) · Last updated: October 24, 2026

This policy explains what the “eBay Tracking Popup Autofill” extension does with your data. In short: the extension works entirely inside your browser and does not send any data to me or to any third party.

What the extension does

When you open eBay’s “Sendungsnummern hinzufügen oder bearbeiten” (add or edit tracking numbers) popup, the extension reads the tracking number you copied to your clipboard, enters it into the tracking number field, selects the carrier “DHL Germany”, and can click “Speichern und weiter” for you.

Data the extension accesses

Data stored on your device

To warn you if a tracking number is reused on a different order, the extension saves tracking numbers it has submitted, together with the matching order number and a timestamp, in your browser’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device. It is not synced, uploaded, or shared.

Data we do not collect

Where the extension runs

The extension runs only on eBay websites (ebay.de and ebay.com), as listed in its permissions. It does not run on other websites.

Permissions explained

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension removes all data it stored. You can also clear it at any time from your browser’s extension settings.
